Blues For The Tigress
4/30/09 Hello all, I recently wrote 21 new sketch/songs and have paired it back to 12 that I've just finished completely writing/arranging. The new record will almost certainly be entitled "Blues For The Tigress" and I am still aiming for a summer release. Some tentative song titles include:
Blues For The Tigress
I Was Damned
Shady Acres
From A Mountain High
Wild And Free
Under The Willow Tree
Where Is My Love?
Blues For The Tigress II
Dark Goes The Night
Do You Still Love Me?
I've Come A Long, Long Way
Thanks for your interest and support.
Until then, Wade Ogle
3/27/09 Hello all, just a brief note to say that I've begun writing/recording a new record. I'm still trying to sort out how to capture it all. All I do know is that I don't want to repeat the process I used for "Songs From Winter". This time, minimal, sparse and working quickly seems right. The record is tentatively titled "Tale Of The Tigress" and I'm aiming for a summer release date.
Until then, Wade Ogle
Songs From Winter was recorded over winter 2007/08. It contains new songs, reworkings of a handful of songs from the Fort Destroyer demo as well as songs written by three of my favorite artits...Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and Mississippi Fred McDowell.
A great deal of it was recorded late at night alone in my home studio...a shed called Chateau ' Gle. The rest was recorded with Dwight Chalmers at Listen Laboratories.
I had great help from some really great players. Stacy Liles & Cody Russell from Charliehorse, Brock Mitchell from Holy Ghost Children, Dustin Bartholomew from The Good Fear, Joe Katzbeck of the Boston Mountain Playboys plus my old bandmate Matt Kesner and others.
Click to hear the album.
